Golf Costa Adeje
Golf Costa Adeje will take your game to a different level. Designed by the Spanish architect José Gancedo, this course opened its doors in October 1998, and was created taking advantage of its natural resources. Golf Costa Adeje has grown in size and reputation since then to the world class venue it is today.
The entire course is divided by small plateaus and over 5,000 meters of stone walls, which used to border the land when it was only banana plantations. The course consists of wide open greens, lakes and clear views across the Atlantic to the island of La Gomera, making this course a real favourite.
To further enhance your golfing experience in 2001, the course was expanded with 9 extra holes which are known as the Los Lagos course. Additionally a large new clubhouse was built and the spacious terraces, with their stunning views soon became a firm favourite. In 2003 the Spanish Open was held here meaning that it had really come of age.
To ensure that the course is maintained to the high levels required, it became the first in Europe to use the grass variety “Paspalum” this was chosen because it is perfectly happy with the salty water available here on the island.
At Golf Costa Adeje, you will also find training facilities that go one step further than the norm, a practice green, chipping green and 2 putting greens are impressive enough but the driving range is truly amazing. Built on a 45,000 m² site in the hillside it has a lift taking you and your buggy, to and from the club house.
Faced with the challenge of such an awesome course, you might decide you want to brush up your game. This is defiantly the best place to do it, with 3 professionals and a golf school that will adapt to your ability level.
